Chelsea care-taker manager Guus Hiddink has revealed his fear for in-form Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo ahead of the Boxing Day fixture against Watford at Stamford Bridge.
The 26-year-old has been a nightmare for premier league defenders as he has poached an impressive 12 goals in 17 matches with his latest brace coming against Jurgen Klopp’s men Liverpool.
Watford go into Saturday’s encounter against the Blues on a four-game winning streak – a run that has seen they climb to seventh on the log with just one point off a top four spot and their form worries Hiddink especially the striker partnership of Ighalo and Troy Deeney .
‘I have a lot of respect for Watford,” Hiddink added. ‘They are very disciplined and they have two very dangerous strikers (Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney).’
Ighalo (12) and Deeney (5) are responsible for 17 of Watford’s 21 Premier League goals this season and have been rated as the best front pair this term.
