Chelsea’s new signing interim manager Guus Hiddink Alexandre Pato will not be available to face Manchester United this weekend at Stamford Bridge, according to manager Guus Hiddink.
The former AC Milan striker joined the Blues on loan from Corinthians during the January transfer window, but he is yet to make his debut as he continues to improve his fitness.
The premier league champions have just Diego Costa in attack a heading into Sunday’s fixture against the Red Devils as Loic Remy is still out injured.
However, despite the state of his front line Hiddink has indicated that Pato will not be rushed into action.
“Pato is in pre-season and we have a training plan which he is doing now. He will not be up for upcoming games, ” the Dutchman said during a press conference.
Chelsea are currently unbeaten in nine Premier League games and sit 13th on the log with 29 points while Manchester United have 40points from the same number of matches.
