Super Eagles Captain, Mikel Obi will be involved in perhaps the best friendly match of the Premier League season when Chelsea host already crowned champions Leicester at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The Premier League is regarded as one of the most competitive league in the world but the Foxes did the unthinkable as they coasted past favourites, Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspurs and Manchester United to win the title for the first time in their history.
Leicester City under the guidance of former Chelsea Gaffer Claudio Ranieri had a helping hand from the Blues who came from a two-goal deficit to draw Tottenham 2-2 two weeks ago and that effectively crowned them Champions.
The Foxes head will hope to win their first away game after their coronation party last week but Mikel and teammates may want to close out the season with a win in front of home fans.
In the reverse fixture earlier this season, Leicester City defeated the Blues 2-1 at the King Power Stadium but whatever happens in Sunday’s game, it will be an afternoon of celebration as Chelsea fans will sing praise of Ranieri while they also say goodbye to interim manager Guus Hiddink who departs for Antonio Conte.
Chelsea have won four out of the last five meetings with the Foxes but had a horrific defense of their title and are currently 31 points adrift of the current Champions.
Leicester have scored seven goals and conceded just one in their last two Premier League matches and the return of topscorer Jamie Vardy against Everton after a two-game proved timely as he grabbed two goals in the 3-1 win.
On Wednesday, Mikel played as a centerback in the 1-1 with Liverpool and may continue in that role against Vardy which will be an interesting match-up as the England man is aiming to win the Golden Boot ahead of Sergio Aguero and Harry Kane.
