Mikel Obi’s teammate at Chelsea, Diego Costa is a huge doubt for the Euro 2016 tournament in France later this summer.
The Brazilian born, Spanish international has reportedly suffered a setback in his bid to make the squad for the tournament.
The 27-year-old Blues striker recently picked up a hamstring injury – the same that has plagued him for the last two seasons.
The former Atletico Madrid forward is now a doubt to be fit in time for the start of the tournament, according to AS.
The report also mentioned that if Costa fails to recover on time for the Euros, national team manager Vicente del Bosque is likely to turn to Atletico Madrid re-vitalised forward Fernando Torres to fill the void.
Diego Costa has made 10 appearances for Spain but scored just once.
