According to talkSPORT, Chelsea are determined to bid £50million for long-term target John Stones in the summer.
The Blues see the England international as a long-time replacement for John Terry and spent the entire summer trying to sign Stones but their four separate bids were all emphatically knocked back by the Toffees, who refused to sell.
However, that hasn’t dampened the premier league champion’s interest in the player and will again test Roberto Martinez’s resolve with a new offer of £50m at the end of the season.
Chelsea’s hierarchy believes that the player is ready to replace long-time Captain John Terry and the plan is to partner Gary Cahill or Kurt Zouma in the heart of the defence.
After rejecting four bids for the Stones from Chelsea, Everton are unwilling to entertain any enquiry for the player with Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Manchester United also monitoring his situation at Goodison.
