Romelu Lukaku will not be leaving for Chelsea and will remain with Everton instead, according to the Mirror.
The Belgium striker has been a subject of interest from his former club Chelsea, but has now reportedly told Everton he will remain with the club.
Ronald Koeman had been desperate for Lukaku to stay, and will be boosted by the latest development which will come as a massive blow to Chelsea.
Antonio Conte’s side were eager to have Lukaku return to Stamford Bridge, but their interest was slowed down after Everton demanded for £75m.
As it now stands, the Toffees are now prepared to make the 23-year-old their highest-paid player ever on a long-term contract worth over £100,000 per week, according to the report.
The 23-year old was also reportedly keen to return to Stamford Bridge, and a deal in the region of £68m deal, just two years after he left them in a then-Everton record £28m move.
Lukaku’s has scored 43 goals in 104 Everton appearance, which makes him a prized asset to the Tofees.
