French Champions Paris Saint Germain have been drawn against stuttering English Champions Chelsea in the second round of the UEFA Champions League competition for a third consecutive season running in a draw held on Monday.
PSG are unbeaten in a record 14 Ligue 1 games and have rocketed to a massive 17 point lead at the top of the domestic table.
Jose Mourinho knows Zlatan Ibrahimovic well from his time at Inter Milan – the striker scored his 87th goal in Ligue 1 last weekend to become the club’s all-time top scorer in the French top flight – but there is talent throughout the team to be wary of.
Ex-Chelsea defender David Luiz would look forward to a return to Stamford Bridge having scored the leveller that dumped the English Champions out of the competition last season.
Arsenal meanwhile were also handed a tough draw after they drew Spanish Champions Barcelona. The other Spanish teams in the competition Real Madrid are both away to Roma and PSV respectively.
In other draws Italian champions Juventus will battle Bayern Munich in the first leg of the fixture.
Benfica are home to Zenit St Petersburg while Manchester City are away to Dynamo Kiev.
