Ghana international Baba Rahman says that he is frustrated with his bench role at Chelsea.
The former Augsburg star who joined the Blues at the summer has struggled to break into the first team –first under Jose Mourinho and now, caretaker manager Guus Hiddink.
Right footed Cesar Azpilicueta currently stands in the way of Rahman, who has insisted that he is desperate to earn more minutes.
“Of course it’s frustrating for any footballer to sit in the stands – it’s not something I’ve experienced a lot of,” Rahman told Bild.
“As a young player, of course, you have to get used to such a big club and a world-class league. For me the first half of the season was pretty okay but in the second half I really want to play more. Chelsea are one of the best clubs in the world.”
Bahman has made just nine appearances in total for Chelsea.
