Kenyan international David Cheche Ochieng could join his compatriot Michael Olunga in Sweden after landing a week – long trial stint at top flight side Djugardens IF.
Cheche landed in Sweden on Monday after a week in Denmark where he also tried out with Aab Fodbold and he says he wants to give his all for a deal in Sweden.
He has been without a club for over five months since parting ways with Saudi Arabian side Al Tawoon and after his national team friend Olunga completed the move to the club, he says he wants to get the chance as well.
“This is another challenge for me and I want to make it count. I will work hard for this chance and see that I get a deal. I have heard a lot about the team and I believe it is a good side as I look to impress and stay here to join Olunga,” he said.
Cheche was the Kenya skipper at the 2015 CECAFA Senior Challenge in Ethiopia.
