The Super Eagles team heading to Rwanda for the CHAN 2016 tournament will now travel with all its 23 listed players as Samson Gbadebo has finally joined the squad in their Pretoria, South Africa camp.
The Lobi Stars’ central defender had failed to travel with the rest of the team when they left Nigeria on January 2, as he was still struggling to secure an entry visa into South Africa, where the team has been training ahead of the competition.
The Nigeria Football Federation had already made plans for the player to travel directly to Rwanda and meet up with the rest of the team.
However, the plan was shelved as the player was issued a South African visa on Wednesday, and left Nigeria immediately, where he has since joined up with the squad for the CHAN 2016 competition
The team will leave their Pretoria camp on Friday for Kigali, ahead of their group opener on January 18 against Niger Republic.
