Head Coach of the Nigeria National Football Team, Sunday Oliseh has declared that he already has his mind made up on the players he will be inviting to camp ahead of next year’s African Nations Championships billed to take place in Rwanda.
Oliseh stated that he was only awaiting some administrative and logistic loose ends to be fixed before going public with the list of invitees.
“I already have my list in my mind and I will make it public in few days” Oliseh assured.
However, there are fears that Oliseh may not be on ground when the CHAN Eagles camp eventually opens by the first week of December as the gaffer told Brila FM that he is yet to get the all-clear from his doctors in Belgium to get back fully to work.
Nigeria is set for a second appearance at the African Nations Championship in Rwanda due to kick off January 16.
The home-based Eagles finished third last term in South Africa and they are keen to improve on that in Rwanda especially as it will help the FIFA ranking of Nigeria a great deal ahead of the draws for the World Cup qualifiers for the Africa zone.
The Home-Based Eagles of Nigeria have been placed in a tricky group where they will be campaigning in Group C alongside Tunisia, Niger and Guinea.
In the other pairings, hosts Rwanda will be slugging it out in Group A alongside Gabon, Cote d’Ivoire and Morocco.
Group B has the quartet of DR Congo, Angola, Cameroon and Ethiopia.
The final Group D houses last edition’s semi-finalist, Zimbabwe, Mali, Uganda and Zambia.
