The Home-Eagles are back in training after taking a two-day break to celebrate the Christmas like millions across the world.
The resumption of the Nigeria League stars in training was announced via the official twitter handle for the country’s national team where the returning players were said to have performed better and sharper.
“Back to work.The players are back in training after Christmas break…better & sharper. #SoarSuperEagles #2016CHAN” the tweet read.
The team who completed their morning training session inside the main bowl of the Abuja National Stadium are also expected to train again later this evening.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) celebrated talented midfielder Paul Onobi who added another year today.
“We wish our hardworking and versatile midfielder Paul Onobi of @SunshineFCAkure a very happy birthday,” the tweet read.
The Home Eagles are keen to excel in Rwanda where the fourth edition of the Africa Nations Championship is taking place.
Recall that Nigeria was missing at the first edition of the CHAN tournament in Cote d’Ivoire in 2009, and Sudan in 2011 before making it to South Africa 2014 where the Coach Stephen Keshi tutored side snapped up Bronze.
