The hopes of Nigeria doing well at next year’s Africa Nations Championships, CHAN 2016 could be under threat as 366football.com has scooped that the national team coaches led by Coach Sunday Oliseh are not in any way happy with their piling unpaid salaries.
While non of the coaches agreed to speak on the issue, findings by 366football.com revealed that Coach Oliseh is been owed 3 months salary amounting to N15m while his three assistants are owed as much as 6 months which is in the region of over N30m all together.
A source close to the coaches confessed that their morale at the moment is very low and that may reflect on their output even as the home-based Eagles are set to hit camp on Monday to begin preparations for the 2016 CHAN tournament to be staged in Rwanda.
“None of them is happy with the situation on ground, working and not getting your pay as at when due kills one’s morale, I hope the NFF can sort this out before it gets out of hand” the source close to the affected coaches stated.
Indeed, the NFF looks cash-starved at the moment as the Scribe of the NFF Mohammed Sanusi confessed of the NFF owing salaries and the coaches not been happy with the detestable situation.
