Reports making the rounds that there is brewing crisis in the Home-Eagles camp preparing for the CHAN tournament has been refuted by the media official for the Nigeria national football team, Toyin Ibitoye.
It is understood that a power tussle is ongoing between assistant coach Salisu Yusuf and Jean Francois Luscuito in the absence of ailing Sunday Oliseh but that has been vehemently denied by the Eagles media officer who affirmed that all is well in the Abuja camp.
“There is not rift between the coaches. I don’t know where these stories are coming because they have been working together very well,” the team spokesman Toyin Ibitoye offered when queried on the true situation of things in the camp.
Though is it is believed that Oliseh has designated Luscuito as the Eagles No.2 man ahead of Coach Yusuf, the Pillars and Enyimba coach is seen to have a better understanding of the Nigeria league and the players.
