Cameroon and Watford defender Allan Nyom has heaped praises on Nigerian international Odion Ighalo, insisting there is no pressure on the Nigerian and other members of the Hornets squad to get results even with the busy Christmas schedule approaching.
A third consecutive win for the first time in the Barclays Premier League for the coach Quique Flores led side came courtesy of a 4th minute strike from the prolific Nigerian international, after he met Nyom’s cross.
“Today I gave the assist, another day, someone else will give the assist, this is football. I’m happy for Ighalo, he’s a good striker, and he helps the team.
“Every player helps us. It’s not the defensive line, the eleven players right from Deeney and Ighalo, they all help the team to not concede goals.
“It’s good, because in the Premier League, if you want to win, you have to keep the goals out.
“We don’t have pressure, we play like always, we try to win every game, but we will be playing against four good teams, but we will have to try and win.” Nyom told the Watford PlayerHD
While Ighalo’s winner took the Watford up to seventh in the standings, Nyom also used the opportunity to praise the terrific 2,000 strong away section at the Stadium of Light who roared the team onto victory over the Black Cats.
