Kenya has the go ahead from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to host Tanzania in an international friendly match on Sunday 29 May, to be played at the Moi International Sports Center (MISC), Kasarani.
Both teams will soon after the friendly be in action for the 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers in June where Tanzania will play against Group G leaders Egypt on Saturday 4 June while Harambee Stars will host Congo – Brazzaville in a Group E encounter set for Friday 3 June.
CAF in a statement said there is no objection on hosting the match in Nairobi on condition it is organized within FIFA regulations governing international matches.
We have received your application form for hosting as well as the application form for participation from Tanzanian Football Federation, concerning the above-mentioned friendly match scheduled to be played in Kasarani Stadium.
Kindly be informed that CAF has no objection on hosting the said match as well as the participation of Tanzania, on condition it is organized in conformity with FIFA Regulations Governing International Matches.
