Zamalek qualified for the CAF Champions League group stage after snatching a late equalizer to draw 1-1 Mouloudia Bejaia of Algeria in a last 16 second leg and advanced 3-1 on aggregate.
Mamelodi Sundowns reached the group stage for the first time in 15 years following the disqualification of AS Vita Club of DR Congo by CAF.
