Vipers SC midfielder Keziron Kizito is confident that his side will beat Enyimba in today’s CAF Champions League first leg preliminary match in Uganda.
The Ugandan Champions lost influential Captain, Farouk Miya who is dubbed the ‘golden boy’ of Ugandan football to Belgium side Standard Liege last month but Kizito believes they have enough fire power to upset the 2-time African Champions.
“Without doubt Miya has been a very key, inspirational player for us but
although he leaves at such a crucial time, we know we have to work extra hard to make up for his absence,” Kizito said.
He added: “Many of us have been involved with the national team for quite long now that
we believe the games we have played with the CHAN team, U-23, CECAFA and cranes gives us the much-needed continental experience.”
The game between Vipers SC and Enyimba will be played at Nakivubo Stadium by 2pm Nigerian time today.
