Barcelona teenager Alen Halilovic and Liverpool’s Dejan Lovren are the two big names out of Croatia’s final squad.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder Halilovic was on loan at Sporting Gijon, but coach Ante Cacic has decided against the inexperienced youngster. Lovren was already ruled out of consideration after recently having disciplinary issues with the coach.
Also out are goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic, defender Duje Caleta-Car and midfielder Domagoj Antolic.
Croatia’s in Group D with Spain, Czech Republic and Turkey. They face Turkey in their opener in Paris on June 12.
