Interim Super Eagles coach, Samson Siasia has announced a list of 42 players for the 2017 back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Egypt without Emmanuel Emenike and Vincent Enyeama but there is a maiden call up for Portland Timbers of USA striker Fanendo Adi.
The Super Eagles play Egypt in two games this month in the race for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations and ahead of the games, 22 home based players and 20 overseas based players have been called up for the games.
There is also a return for Aaron Samuel of CSKA Moscow and Kasimpasa’s Kenneth Omeruo.

Siasia and his troops will take on the Pharaohs of Egypt in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Day 3 qualifying match at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna on Friday, March 25.
The return leg in Alexandria on Tuesday, March 29, which will kick off at 7pm Egypt time at the Borg el Arab Stadium.
Meanwhile, CAF have appointed Zambian referee Janny Sikazwe as the centre referee for the encounter. Sikazwe will be assisted by Arsenio Chadreque Marengula from Mozambique (assistant referee 1), while Zambians Romeo Kasengele and Wisdom Chewe will serve as assistant referee 2 and reserve referee respectively.
