The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Elections Board has postponed indefinitely the Bramch and National polls after experiencing serious hitches with the sub branch polls held on Friday 4 December.
The Branch polls were initially lined up for Thursday 10 December and the National polls for 14th December but in the latest release to the media, the elections have been moved to a date to be communicated later.
The board further stated that it will be releasing the results for the Sub Branch polls and a report on the same on Tuesday 8 December after failing to do so today.
“The Board was anticipating releasing the results this day of Monday 7th December 2015 but due to unavoidable circumstances. The Institute for Education in Democracy (IED) has not completed their report,”
“The board wishes to inform you that IED will be presenting the report to the board on Tuesday afternoon 8th December 2015 and thereafter the Board will release the results to football fraternity and general public.
“The Board wishes to apologize for the delay in releasing the results and further advices that the Branch Elections will not be held on Thursday 10th December 2015 as earlier communicated.
“However, the board shall give further advice on the Sub Branch where elections were not held and had disputes and the new dates for Branch and National Elections.” The statement read.
