Muhoroni Youth FC head coach Bobby Ogolla was a livid man after his team’s bid for a top half finish in the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) took a blow on Friday 23 September in a 1 – 2 defeat at the hands of title contenders Tusker.
Tusker scored twice in the opening 11 minutes with Anthony Ndolo scoring the opener after six minutes before Ugandan George Mandela wrapped it up on the 11th minute, leaving Paul Muchika’s goal as a mere consolation.
Coach Ogolla, speaking to the media after the match, blasted his players for giving away easy goals and conceding three points.
“Losing is part of the game but I cannot say we deserved the loss. We were so weak in the game and we gave away possession easily but what disappoints most is the way we allowed the opponents to score easy goals and very early in the game.
“Getting back in the game after you have conceded twice in the first 11 minutes can be tricky and that is why we could not get at least a point. We did not play like we are used to being at this stage and it is very disappointing,” he said.
