Ghana national football team – Black Stars arrived in the Mozambican capital Maputo ahead of Sunday’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier return leg without its skipper Asamoah Gyan and forward Mubarak Wakaso.
Coach Avram Grant travelled with 21 players to the Southern African country after injury forced out Asamoah Gyan and Mubarak Wakaso.
Gyan did not play a part in the first leg after he suffered a thigh injury in the build up to the game. However, Wakaso, who featured in the 3-1 victory was withdrawn as the game progressed.
The Black Stars delegation to Mozambique was led by GFA Executive Committee member Wilfred Osei Palmer as the Black Stars seek another victory on Group H.
The Black stars are leading the log in Group H after picking up their third-straight win. And victory in Maputo would confirm their place at next year’s finals in Gabon.
