Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane will have the comfort of sending out his second most prolific forward, Karim Benzema when Los Blancos take on Deportivo La Coruna in the final match of the La Liga season.
Benzema has proven to be a key player for Real Madrid in the season; he returned from injury in the last match against Valencia and scored as Real won 3 – 2 and heading to the season finale, Zidane can count on him and after getting through the Valencia match all hope is that he can stay fit for the remaining two matches.
Real Madrid will be facing arch rivals Atletico in the Champions League final on Saturday 28 May and Zidane can just hope for the Frenchman’s availability.
“He’s not been at 100 per cent for a while. We’ve seen that it wasn’t easy for him physically but against Valencia he coped with it well and without any problems. We’ve got two games left.
“He’s getting better every day and he’s not feeling any discomfort from his last injury,” Zidane told the club website.
Benzema has missed 15 games this season through injury but has still scored 28 goals.
