Christian Benteke has travelled to London for medicals at Crystal Palace, according to reports.
The London club has reportedly agreed a £32m deal with Liverpool for the Belgium international striker.
Benteke only joined Liverpool last summer under Brendan Rodgers, but has struggled for game time since the arrival of Jurgen Klopp and was reportedly told he has no future at the club.
Both clubs have been locked in negotiations for Benteke’s services, with Liverpool reportedly rejecting an initial £23m bid which included £7m in add ons, but the Anfield club wanted something closer to what they paid Aston Villa for the Belgian.
Palace have however since improved their bid, which has not been accepted by Liverpool and the striker has been allowed to undergo medicals in London.
The 25-year old signed from Aston Villa for £32.5m last summer and Liverpool have now almost recouped all the money spent on getting him to Anfield.
Crystal Palace meanwhile, had initially placed a bid for Benteke’s Belgium international teammate Michy Batshuayi, but the striker chose to move to Chelsea instead.
But Palace are however now awash with fresh cash, following the sale of Yannick Bolasie to Everton for £25m, while Mile Jedinak has moved to Aston Villa for £4m.
