According to Bayern Munich Sporting director Matthias Sammer, the Bavarians will look to add younger talents to their squad in the summer and Zlatan Ibrahimovic doesn’t fit that bill.
Ibrahimovic has already revealed that he won’t be signing a new contract with Paris Saint-Germain when his current deal expires in June as he is looking for a move away from the club.
“At this stage we’re relatively passive in our thoughts. Speaking logically, this would mean to have another striker,” he told Sky Sport ahead of Bayern’s 1-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
“We are already equipped well and we aim to make our squad younger in the future, so this [signing Ibrahimovic] would not really fit.
“But also you can never exclude anything in football, though I never heard the name [linked] with us and I can’t imagine it.”
Ibrahimovic is currently linked with a move to the MLS and the Chinese Super League but the likes of AC Milan, Juventus, Arsenal, Manchester City, and West Ham are monitoring his situation with a possibility of signing him.
