SuperSport United head coach Stuart Baxter was satisfied with the 1-1 draw against Bloemfontein Celtic on Wednesday night, but expects his team to find more spark in attack.
Phunye Sele Sele new signing Fiston Abduol Razak struck on 38 minutes at the Dr Molemela Stadium, Luvolwethu Mpeta earning Baxter’s side a share of the spoils in the 64th minute.
The point earned allowed Matsatsantsa to move on to equal points with eighth placed Celtic, although they have an inferior goal difference.
Although Baxter had been hoping for all three points, he had no complaints about the outcome.
“You’re always wanting to win games but considering the amount of time we’ve done the work and considering the weather and the opponents, away from home, then I think you’re happy enough with a point in those circumstances,” Baxter said.
“I think our play around the box, we saw shoots of it, but we didn’t see it enough. We were still looking for that golden bullet a little bit individually.
“So I think once we can have a team play, we’ll plug away for a while, and then hopefully the individuals will start showing their spirit individually.”
