La Liga giants, FC Barcelona have confirmed that one of their priced asset in attack, Neymar.Jr has committed his future to the club by agreeing to a new five year deal that will keep him at Nou Camp till 2021.
Barcelona on their official website on Friday said the Brazilian star have signed a contract extension which will keep him at the Club for the next five seasons, until 30 June 2021.
It is understood that in the the new contract just signed, Neymar’s buyout clause has been fixed at 200 million Euros for the first year of his contract, 222 million for the second and 250 million for the remaining three years.
The club stated that on 15 July in Barcelona, before the player joins up with the Brazilian national side for the Olympic Games, the agreement will be presented formally.
Since coming in from his home country where he played for Santos, Neymar has helped Barcelona to win a host of silverware.
He has won the league twice, the Copa del Rey twice, the European Super Cup, the Spanish Super Cup and the Club World Cup.
Furthermore, he scored in the Champions League victory over Juventus in 2015 and in the recent Copa del Rey victory over Sevilla.
