The FC Barcelona head coach says he’s proud of his team’s performance at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez -a stadium that always provides a challenge to his side.
Luis Suárez and Neymar both benefited from Sergi Roberto’s assists to score in each half as Barcelona secured back-to-back clean sheets for the first time in 2015-with a 2-0 win on over Getafe on Saturday at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez stadium.
Barcelona have only ever lost twice to Getafe in 22 league meetings in the top flight with both defeats coming in the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez and a contented and satisfied Enrique in an interview said it was a good feeling to overcome the difficulties of playing on the Getafe turf.
“We played a very complete match. This field doesn’t usually suit us, but we played well from the start and we controlled the game.
“We didn’t suffer much, we attacked well, we were organised and we pressed very well. Getafe are not easy opponents and the victory is based on our merit and not our rivals’ lack of merit.” Enrique told the official Barcelona Website.
On his key performers on the night, Sergio Busquets was singled out for praise following a sublime effort commanding the midfield alongside assists master on the night Sergi Roberto who was only making his first appearance after missing the last two games with an injury.
“He (Busquets) is a unique player, basic for us. He’s the best midfielder not only in Europe but in the world.
“He stands out for his intelligence, how solid he is both offensively and defensively, as well the pressure he creates. He’s a key footballer who I try to rest whenever I can.
On Roberto’s performance, Enrique added;
“He is in a very sweet moment that has to be seized.”
Neymar and Suárez who once again showed everyone that, for now, they are the sharpest and most dangerous attacking pair have now scored every single one of Barcelona’s last 14 goals — seven each — in the team’s last six league games going back to 20 September.
