Former Muhoroni Youth head coach Francis Baraza has joined Chemelil Sugar in the same capacity on a short term deal.
The coach confirmed the move was completed on Wednesday 14 October and noted that he will be in charge for the matches remaining until the end of the season with the key deliverable being to help the team survive relegation.
He termed the team good enough and is ready for the job but noted that an assessment to determine whether or not he will be in charge for the long haul will be determined at the end of the season.
“The chairman wanted me to come in on a temporary basis to help the team through to the end of the season and I am happy to step in. There are no finer details of the deal apart from that; the main issue is to help the team stay afloat.
“Once we are done with the season we can have a good assessment of matters and see how the future plays out. IU have been with the team for a few weeks now and I should say I am happy with what I have seen,” he said.
Chemelil Sugar FC is currently 13th on the KPL log with 27 points.
