Wales boss Chris Coleman claims that Real Madrid record signing Gareth Bale will be fit for the El Clasico against Barcelona later this month.
The former Tottenham Hotspurs winger has not played for Los Blancos since aggravating a calf problem during the last international break and he has been left out of the Wales squad for the upcoming friendly with struggling Netherlands.
Coleman hinted that “probably” Bale will feature in Real Madrid’s next game after the international break, which is against Barcelona on November 21 – new that will surely gladden the hearts of Los Blancos fans.
“I think, having [had] the correspondence with Madrid, he’ll probably figure in the next game for them [after the international break] I would imagine,” Coleman told reporters.
“But they want to use this time wisely and carefully and get him up to speed. We respect that. Gareth also wants to do what’s right. It’s not in our nature to take risks with players.”
Real Madrid defeated Paris Saint German 1-0 at the Bernabeu yesterday in the UEFA Champions League and will return to La Liga action with a trip to Sevilla this weekend.
