Respected Spanish journalist Guillem Balague says he expects Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo to join Paris Saint German from Real Madrid at the end of the season.
The former Manchester United winger join the Los Blancos six years ago and amazingly mentioned early this week that he wants to play six more years at the Bernabeu but Balague believes both Real Madrid and Ronaldo’s representatives are happy for him to move on.
“He can physically play until he is 40, but there is a strategy in place from his people,” he told Sky Sports News HQ.
“It looks like this could be the last season of Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid. It also looks as though Real Madrid aren’t completely unhappy that this is the case.”
The 30-year-old is currently Real Madrid’s all-time leading goalscorer, but despite his incredible record Balague says he’s likely to be heading to France.
“This sounds amazing, when you look at the records he’s gained – probably the best goalscorer in their history,” he added.
“But perhaps Real Madrid believe he has peaked and I’ve got the impression these people are feeling PSG will be the best solution.
“Be it this summer or next summer, I don’t think he will be at Real Madrid that long.”
Ronaldo scored 48 goals in 35 Primera Division appearances last season, winning a record fourth European Golden Boot and he is also favourite alongside Lionel Messi to win the Ballon D’Or which he is the current holder.
