Baba Abdul Rahman ís looking to impress new manager Antonio Conte on his first day in training on Wednesday.
The former Italy manager impressed the squad with a fine showing at Euro 2016, leading his nation to the quarter-finals, beating Spain on the way.
Rahman hadn’t made a great start under previous Chelsea coaches Jose Mourinho or Guus Hiddink, but required a settling down period in the English Premier League.
He had promised much after a good stint at Augsburg in the Bundesliga.
The left back played 15 league matches and also represented Chelsea in the Uefa Champions League last season, in what was a forgettable campaign for nearly all players at the club.
