Ghana take on Mozambique in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier later this month on March 24, and they’re sweating on the fitness of Swansea midfielder Andre Ayew.
The 26-year-old is struggling with an ankle injury and could even miss next weekend’s game against his brother Jordan Ayew’s team Aston Villa.
“I would not have thought so [that it was serious]. He’s probably going to be out for a couple of weeks,” Swansea manager Alan Curtis told BBC Radio.
“He just turned his ankle. He’s probably doubtful for the Villa game,” he added.
Ghana will host Mozambique in Accra and if Ayew is touch and go for that game, he could hopefully make it for the second game against Mozambique which is four days later in Maputo.
