The Ayew brothers –Jordan and Andre faced off at Villa Park on Saturday for the first time in England since their arrival from France this summer but it was the latter’s late winner for Swansea that made the difference as the visitors piled more pressure on Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood.
The midfielder side-footed in a Kyle Naughton cross to give Swansea a first win in six games.
Jordan brother Jordan had given Villa the lead with a stooping header before Gylfi Sigurdsson curled in a 25-yard free-kick to level.
The defeat was Villa’s sixth on the trot in the league and leaves them second-from-bottom with four points.
Villa defender Joleon Lescott had a chance to equalise for the home side late on when he found space at a corner but hooked a shot over.
Brother Jordan may have won round one of the battle of the brothers when the pair last met during an enthralling encounter between Andre’s Marseille and Jordan’s Lorient (5-3), but the Swansea man ensured he came out on top on this occasion when he hit home an 87th-minute winner.
