Black Stars coach Avram Grant is not known to scout the Ghana Premier League, and that’s been the heaviest criticism levelled at him.
However Grant turned in to watch Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
The clubs drew 1-1 with Kwame Boateng and Patrick Razak netting the goals.
Grant has only been in Ghana for a few days, after his usual stays in Europe. The former Chelsea manager believes that it’s more useful for him to monitor Ghanaian players abroad. It’s the first local club game he watched this season.
However things are changing lately, on his arrival in the country, Grant also watched the Black Satellites, the junior Ghanaian teamj against Senegal at the Cape Coastal Stadium on Friday.
Grant’s assistant Maxwell Konadu also kept a close eye on the junior national team players.
