Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah looks back at a forgetable year, after being tipped to be one of the leading players in the Serie A.
“The worst year in my career as a footballer was 2015,” Asamoah told Metro TV.
“But I will say after this injury, I’m going to do a lot and make it big than I did in the past.
The 27-year-old has since had a successful operation, and hopes that the old knee injury won’t hamper his career hereon.
“Now, everything is about the mentality that I’m bringing back to the field after recovering. This injury has really made me strong because I’ve learnt so many things. There were some things I couldn’t show but this is the time for me to show them,” he added.
Asamoah also had to sit out the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations campaign, which Ghana lost in the final to Ivory Coast.
This season he’s made just three appearances for Juventus, and has been wrapped in cotton wool to make sure he recovers fully.
