Ahead of the Premier League meeting between Arsenal and Tottenham this weekend, The Gunners head coach Arsene Wenger on Friday confirmed that dependable centre-half Laurent Koscielny will be available for selection after missing the woeful display against Buern Munich on Wednesday.
The Arsenal boss who in a statement on the club’s official website confirmed the availability of the Frenchman also hinted that full back Hector Bellerin remains a doubt for the EPL showdown.
“From the unfortunate Wednesday night, we have no injuries. Players back for Sunday, we might have Koscielny and I think that it is. Arteta has a test tomorrow morning, Bellerin is a doubt already.
“Bellerin unfortunately will not be ready, I think he could be back after the break.” Wenger told the Arsenal website.
While the the biggest worry for Spurs will be the in-form Olivier Giroud and his brilliant run of goalscoring form, Arsenal will hope Koscielny’s and whoever plays alongside the Frenchman in the Gunners’ central defense will be able to keep out Harry Kane. If the Englishman can play like he did in the derby at White Hart Lane in February, it’s game on.
