According to the DailyMail, Arsenal are preparing a £200,000 per-week new deal for German international Mesut Ozil to make him the highest paid Gunner in history.
The former Real Madrid star is currently on £140,000 a new contract which has two years left to run.
However, the 27-year-old is not happy that the club have continued to under achieve and reports reveals that he may be willing to listen to other clubs in a bid.
That has spurred Arsene Wenger who now wants the club to tie the playmaker down on a longer deal at the Emirates.
Already, top teams like Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Barcelona are monitoring the situation of the player but the North London outfit are ready to break their current wage structure in a bid to warn off any interested parties.
Ozil has registered six goals with 18 assists in 34 Premier League appearances for the Gunners this season.
