Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez has moved to dispel any fears that he would be dumping the Emirates outfit for a return to Spain amid speculation over a switch to Real Madrid.
The player’s fantastic performances since his arrival at Arsenal from Barcelona last summer have led to speculation he could return to Spain, potentially with Real Madrid who on Tuesday were reported to be readying a £37m January move for the forward should Arsenal fail to progress to the knockout phase of the ongoing UEFA Champions League.
But the Arsenal man who has been in a sensational form after coming through a slow start to the campaign has dismissed such talk.
“I have no idea what the media are saying, but I feel comfortable at Arsenal.
“I’m happy with my team-mates and the city of London is beautiful. I’m not going to change, I’m very happy.
“I always want to be the best at everything I do,” Sanchez said. “I’m never happy with what I do, I always want to give more. My mum is always my coach. She phones me and tells me to shoot at goal more often.” He said whilst away on international duty.
Sanchez has netted six goals in his last three Arsenal games and over the course of the international break, the Copa America winner has also scored three for Chile, one in the 2-0 victory against Brazil and a double in a 4-3 win in Peru.
