After the opening two defeats to Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiacos, Theo Walcott has claimed that Arsenal ready to beat Bayern Munich in Tuesday’s must-win Champions League clash at the Emirates.
The Gunners currently has no points in Group F courtesy of their horrendous start to their campaign but hosting the 2013 champions presents the North London side to play themselves back into the competition with a vital win.
Walcott revealed that the gunners have thrown great confidence from beating Manchester United just before the international break and hopes to repeat the feat against the Bavarians.
“Playing against Bayern and their quality is of course going to be a challenge for us,” he is quoted as saying by The Mirror.
“But we are at home with our support and we need a similar sort of performance like we had against Manchester United. We know we can beat anyone and we’re going to be completely ready for this one.
“We need to move on from the first couple of results in the Champions League. We know we are capable of getting results against Bayern and we want to put things right.”
Arsenal head into the match at the back of a comfortable 3-0 win over Watford yesterday.
