Former Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah has given his successor Avram Grant some first hand advice in dealing with the criticism and pressure of the job.
The anger from many critics is focused on the fact that Grant hasn’t given a chance to local players in Ghana.
“He [Grant] should not fall to the pressure from the media and Ghanaians. Because they’re saying he should monitor players doesn’t mean he will have to move all over Africa,” Appiah told Starr FM.
“If he feels that there are some particular positions that he needs to scout in Africa then it is okay. For example, when looking for a right midfielder and he thinks Solomon Asante maybe the right option and wants to come to Sudan and see that player, then I support that but not travelling to watch every Ghanaian,” he added.
