Olhanense defender Stanley Amuzie has resumed light training five months after he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament on international duty with the Dream Team VI.
Amuzie who sustained the nasty injury during the CAF U-23 qualifying game against Congo in Pointe Noire has will rejoin the first team squad in the coming weeks as he recovers fully from the injury that ruled him out of the on-going CAF U-23 Championship in Senegal.
“He has started training. Running with the ball and working in the gym.” his agent Ayodele Makinwa told the media.
Amuzie who was on the books of Sampdoria until he was shipped out to the Portuguese side played six games for the Samson Siasia side before copping the ACL injury.
Amuzie will be registered for the second half of the Portuguese season in January and is expected to start playing for the club’s first team squad next month.
