Hull City have confirmed that their Nigerian striker Sone Aluko will not be available for Saturday’s away game against MK Dons.
The Tigers on their official website explained that Aluko remains unavailable after picking up an injury in the pre-match warm-up ahead of last weekend’s game against Birmingham City adding that Curtis Davies is also still out with a calf problem.
Steve Bruce’s men travel to MK Dons on Saturday having won six of their last nine games in all competitions as a feel-good factor has returned to the KC Stadium.
However, the manager has warned that nobody is getting carried away and says his players must continue to show everything they have been showing in recent weeks.
“This game is what the Championship is all about,” said Bruce.
“We’ve had a good week or ten days. We’ve beaten Ipswich, we’ve beaten Birmingham and we’ve beaten Leicester.
“Now we’re going to MK Dons and everybody fancies us to do something there, so this is where we have to remain focused on the job.
“MK Dons are a good side. They get the ball and try to play. They’re expansive and looking at them in more detail this week, I think there has only been one game this season where the opposition has had more possession than them.
While Aluko is out injured, another striker of Nigerian descent Chuba Akpom is expected to lead the attack.
