Algerian international Riyad Mahrez took his personal goals tally in the premier league to seven with a brace for Leicester City in the win against West Browich Albion at the Hawthorns today.
The 24-year-old has been a sensation this season for the Claudio Ranieri led side. The Baggies led with a bullet header from record signing Salomon Rondon to end the first half 1-0.
However, the second half proved to be a Riyad Mahrez show as he scored a quick fire brace to hand the Foxes the lead while in form England international Jamie Vardy netted the third goal to make it eight goals out of eight matches – a record only shared by Ruud van Nistelrooy (twice) and Daniel Sturridge.
Rickie Lambert scored a penalty to make it 2-3 but it was a little too late as the away side ran out with a precious win. The two goals against West Brom is Mahrez second in the premier league this season after he scored twice against Sunderland in August.
