Home Eagles assistant captain Chima Akas, is confident the team will beat Burkina Faso for the second time today in the return leg of the African Nations Championship qualifier in Ouagadougou.
The Eagles hold a 2-0 advantage going into the second leg and Akas explained that they know the importance of not only sitting back and trying to protect the goal cushion adding that they would ensure they match their foes in all departments to scale through.
“We are ready and raring to go. We won’t give anything to chance in Ouagadougou because the confidence and the mood in camp is that we will like to qualify for Rwanda 2016.
“We are not bothered about any hearsay from their coach or whoever, we are only concerned about our own game,” Akas said.
The Eagles B side got a bronze medal in their maiden appearance at the CHAN in 2014 in South Africa after they missed out on the first two editions of the competition in 2009 and 2012.
They were beaten by Niger Republic and Ghana respectively on both occasions.
