According to Sky Sports News, Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa is attracting interest from 20-time premier league champions Manchester United.
Reports filtered into the media yesterday of Leicester City’s £15m bid which was rejected by his CSKA Moscow as the Russian club is holding out for a £19m fee.
The Nigerian international, has scored 10 goals in 29 games for his Russian club this season and Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal see him as a player to help his team unlock defenses in England.
Manchester United have struggled to get goals this season and only last week lost 0-1 at home to Southampton in the premier league.
The United hierarchy are reluctant to spend any more money this season after investing £250 into the squad last summer but less than 20m could be a bargain they won’t want to pass them bye.
Musa joined CSKA from Dutch side VVV-Venlo in 2012 and has already played against Manchester United during the group phase of this season’s champions league.
