Real Madrid’s interest in Austrian star David Alaba has left his father George very proud.
The 23-year-old with Nigerian roots have been outstanding for Bayern Munich since he came on to the limelight some seasons ago and his superb qualities have ensured he was voted Austrian Player of the Year three times in a roll.
According to report in Spain, Real Madrid who just won the UEFA Champions League offered a €50million bid to Bayern Munich for the left wing-back and George who doubles as the agent for Alaba has express his delight with the recognition for his sons’ ability.
“We’re at a moment when we don’t need to make any comment. Madrid are a great club and I’m proud of the interest. That’s all I can say, nothing else,” he told AS.
Alaba who has won five Bundesliga titles and four DFB-Pokals, signed a new three-year contract with Bayern Munich in March and declared the club as the best in the world.
“I’m very happy and grateful that I can continue playing for the best club in the world,” he told the club’s official website. “There’s a lot I want to achieve here in the years to come and I’ll continue to give my best for FC Bayern.”
