Arsenal striker Alex Iwobi is the first foreign based player to arrive the Super Eagles camp in Abuja ahead of the crucial 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against the Pharaohs of Egypt.
Iwobi who was all smiles arrived Sunday afternoon in readiness for the crucial double-header against the Pharaohs of Egypt.
Iwobi will hope to replicate his top form at Arsenal with the Eagles as they file out on Friday against the Egyptians. The 19-year old has been enjoying a good run of form of late and was in action for the Gunners on Saturday in the game against Everton where he scored one of the goals in the 2-0 win over the Toffees and he also gave a good account of himself in Champions League clash against Barcelona at the Nou Camp.
As announced by the Nigeria Football Federation through their official twitter handle, two other players based in Turkey are also expected to breeze into the Super Eagles camp later tonight.
The 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Day 3 qualifying match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Pharaohs of Egypt will take place on at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna on Friday, March 25.
Iwobi confirmed his arrival in camp with a post on twitter where he wrote:
