Kenyan international McDonald Mariga was an unused substitute as his team US Latina played to a 2 – 2 draw with Brescia in a Serie B fixture played on Saturday 19 March at Comunale Domenico Stadium.
Paolo Hernan gave US Latina the lead on the 13th minute but Tomasz Kupisz equalized on the 74th minute. Alexandre Geijo fired the visitors – Brescia to a 2 – 1 lead on the 82nd minute but Latina fought back to score on the 88th minute through Ruben Ariel to deny Brescia.
The point gained leaves Latina 15th on the 22-team table with 36 points from 32 games.
Mariga has nine league appearances with a single goal.
Elsewhere, in England, Mariga’s younger brother, Victor Wanyama returned to action to help his team recover from two goals down to beat Liverpool 3 – 2 at home.

Wanyama, coming from a five match ban, started from the bench as his team took to the break a 0 – 2 deficit but he was introduced together with Sadio Mane in the second half and they changed matters, Mane scoring a brace and Graziano Pelle the other to cancel out Phillipe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge’s goals.
In Bulgaria, Kenyan left-back Aboud Omar was on the pitch for 90 minutes as Slavia Sofia settled for a goalless draw with visiting Levski Sofia in a Bulgarian Pro League match played on Saturday at Slavija Stadium.
Slavia Sofia needed a win to slash the gap between them and second placed Levski to just a point. As a result, Levski remain second on 40 points, four ahead of third placed Slavia after 23 matches.
